Girls Select Program
The Natick Youth Lacrosse Girls Select program is an opportunity for the most committed and advanced players in grades 5th through 8th to compete at a higher level against other top teams.
The Natick program typically fields one 12U team (5th & 6th grades) and one 14U team (7th and 8th grades). There are typically 6 games, played on Friday evenings. Extra practice time is typically held following a regular practice.
Equal playing time is not expected and teams play to win. The league keeps standings, has playoffs and a league select champion is crowned at the end of the season for each age group!
Because this league is competitive and we only field one team in each of the age groups, we hold tryouts and roster the players that give the team the best chance of success based on their attitude, their effort and their lacrosse skills.
Please note that all players are required to play in the classic town league if they want to play on the select team. Regular attendance at practices and Sunday classic/open games is expected.
2027 Girls Select Tryouts
For the upcoming 2027 Spring Select season, we will have two official tryout sessions in early December.
In addition, we are offering pre-tryout select sessions in October to preview the tryout format and expectations and provide players the opportunity to sharpen skills. All experienced players interested in trying out for the select team are welcome at these sessions and it is recommended to attend at least one session.
There is no cost for the tryouts. If your player is invited to the team after tryouts, you will be charged when completing the select registration. This is in addition to the classic spring league, which select players must be registered for. *Please note if there are not enough Natick players to field a select team, we may co-op with another town or not be able to have a select team.
